IT Project Portfolio

VCU is required to have a current list of IT projects that are in planning, progress, and closed in order to provide visibility to the University Controller’s Office regarding Information Technology projects. Additionally, a consolidated IT Project Portfolio provides a high-level, consolidated view of all ongoing and proposed IT project work across VCU. This allows for better visibility, informed decision-making, and coordinated management of resources across different initiatives.

The IT Project Portfolio is managed in Smartsheet by the TS Office of the CIO. It is accessible to IT personnel via the IT Project Portfolio Dashboard: go.vcu.edu/itproject. IT personnel who are managing a project are expected to submit their project to the portfolio via the intake form during the project initiation or planning phase.
